Perfect and precise organization, very kind and helpful staff at check-in. Everything was on time. A modern and comfortable shuttle will take you to the entrance of the canyon. Our guide was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She explained how the canyon was formed and what happens throughout the year, adding historical stories and interesting facts. She took photos of us at all the most iconic locations. The canyon is wonderful, everything is perfectly maintained, and it's truly suitable for everyone, young and elderly, children and families. A fantastic experience, highly recommended.

This should be on everyone's bucket list. This tour was truly magical. To be able to walk through a canyon and see all the different sways of the rock and learn the history behind it by someone who really knows what they are talking about is wonderful. Our tour guide Mikaya was extraordinary. She went out of her way to ensure we took the best pictures and even took pictures of us when we asked. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and overall made our experience amazing. 10/10 service. I loved this tour and would recommend it to anyone and everyone to do at least once.

It was just magical! We had a tour at 12pm and it was the perfect time to go and see it. Tha ladder and steps made it more interesting than just walking straight. There were a lot of people, but the tour guides still made it memorable for us, allowing us to take pictures and enjoy the moment.

The mother of the company in her 70's guided our tour. Amazing how she was able to easily maneuver though the canyon. She was very wise in the Navajo culture. You could see she had a strong heart for her culture. My husband and I loved her stories. Loved that this company is small and family owned. We happened to have a private tour which was awesome. Becoming off season. We loved the vision hee daughter has for the company and that the matriarch only wants to hire guides that have they heart!! ❤️ of course the canyon was beautiful. I am an amateur photographer, so I was engrossed with all the designs on the rock. We even recommended Mysical to a German couple the next day while stopping at the Navajo National Museum Monument.

Frequently asked questions about Ken’s Tours

What makes Ken’s Tours different from other Lower Antelope Canyon tour operators?

Ken’s Tours is one of the original Navajo-operated companies authorized to guide visitors through Lower Antelope Canyon. Their guides are local Navajo residents who share firsthand stories, cultural interpretations, and photography tips that enhance the experience. The tours also begin directly at the canyon entrance, minimizing shuttle transfers and wait times.

How long is the Lower Antelope Canyon tour, and how strenuous is it?

The tour typically lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, covering a walk of roughly 0.6 miles through the winding sandstone passageways. While it’s not a long hike, visitors should be comfortable climbing several metal staircases and narrow steps, as the terrain involves descending into the canyon and uneven surfaces throughout.

How does Ken’s Tours handle weather-related closures or flash floods?

Since the canyon is prone to flash flooding, Ken’s Tours closely monitors local weather and Navajo Nation advisories. In case of a weather closure, guests are either rescheduled or refunded. Safety is the top priority, and tours will not operate under any risk conditions.

Is there parking available at the Ken’s Tours site?

Yes. There’s a large parking area right at the Ken’s Tours check-in site, which is where you will begin your tour. Parking is complimentary for guests, and restrooms are conveniently located on-site, available before the tour begins.

Are tours available year-round?

Yes, Ken’s Tours operates year-round, with slightly adjusted hours during winter. While summer brings warmer temperatures and more vivid lighting, winter visits offer a quieter and more private experience with smaller groups.
